Size of 5 to 7.0 meters.
It has straight trunk with bark protruding. Ramagem large, dense, long and pendant. Leaves simple, linear and leathery. The red flowers are arranged so that resembles the shape of bottle brush. Flowers mainly from June to September.

It has outstanding ornamental characteristics, mainly due to its lightness and colorful canopies. It is used in gardens and parks in isolation or in groups. Very suitable for afforestation of streets.
