Size ranges from 12 to 15 meters.
Trunk and branches filled with thorns when young. It has deciduous foliage, with bipinnate compound leaves. Flowers usually in the spring with small flowers and clear.
Rapid growth.
Species underused in landscaping today, but with good ornamental aspects. It can be successfully used in afforestation of parks, plazas and landscaping projects.
