Size ranges from 13 to 20 meters.
Trunk and branches filled with thorns when young. It has deciduous foliage, with bipinnate compound leaves. Flowers usually in the spring, with flowers and bees plant almost completely stripped of foliage.
Rapid growth.
Species underused in landscaping today, but with good ornamental aspects, especially when in bloom. It can be successfully used in afforestation of parks, plazas and landscaping projects.
