Region: South of Bahia to Rio Grande do Sul
Family: Myrtaceae

Size ranges from 10 to 15 meters.
Short trunk and pyramidal crown. Displays evergreen with leathery leaves and simple. Flowers from September to November with small, white flowers and ornamental unimportant. Small fruits, tasty and withblack or yellow coloration as the variety of the plant.
Slow growth.
Species with ornamental features and could be used both in landscape projects such as tree planting innarrow streets. The species attracts many birds when fruiting.
Species of birds that attracts: thrushes, tanagers, Gaturamos, Sairas, Ties, among others.
