Size ranges from 20 to 25 meters.
Stem simple, covered the bases of fallen leaves that fade in adulthood showing the ringed trunk. Its leaves are fan-shaped, large and numerous. The inflorescence occurs when the plant has 50 to 65 years old. The fruiting takes place over a long period and occurs soon after the death of the plant. The fruits are globose brownish-green color.
Very slow growth.
