Size of 10 to 12 meters.
It has highly branched and cylindrical trunk. The canopy is lush with compound leaves, long and curved. It has semi-deciduous foliage. Inflorescence dense and short, arranged along the branches with pink flowers, presents more exuberant flowering in the northeastern, northern and central-western Brazil. The fruit is of type pod, indehiscent long and brown. Species typically tropical.
Rapid development.
Tree flowering remarkable for its beauty, can be successfully employed in the landscaping of parks and large gardens in isolated or forming massive crops in large areas, typically tropical plant, but tolerates mild winter in the south and southeast.
