The Symbolism of Trees

The trees represent powerful symbols in various cultures of humanity. Life is in constant evolution, ascension to heaven, the union of elements, the link between levels of the cosmos (Subsoil / soil / atmosphere).

In prehistory, they represented deities, sometimes considered the personification of natural evil powers as thunder, lightning and storms. The trees divine guaranteed fertility to men and animals, crops in abundance, success in business and in war.

The rites of worship decreased with the growth of Christianity. Began to be used as a supply of food, fuel, building cities and source of raw materials for daily needs.
