Size 5-9 meters. Twisted trunk and evergreen. Its young leaves are reddish in color and form a dense canopy and low. The inflorescence is globose into chapters, with light colored flowers.
Fast growth and good hardiness.
The species provides excellent shade, can be successfully used in afforestation of parks and large gardens, typically tropical plant.
