Size of 4 to 6 meters.
Compound leaves and stem of up to 40 cm in diameter. Evergreen, flowering from September to November. Their nuts are roasted and eaten when they are used for adulterating cocoa. Serves as food for wildlife.
Rapid growth.
Displays ornamental characteristics, being successfully used in afforestation of narrow streets, especially in coastal regions. Also indicated for degraded areas and permanent preservation.
