Size ranges from 2 to 4 meters.
Stem simple, ringed and slightly dilated toward the top, with massive palm. The leaves are pinnate, with leaflets inserted at different angles. The fruits are ellipsoid in color purplish-black when ripe.
Slow growth.
Species considered rare even in Brazil for being little known, cultivated mainly in botanical collections. It is very interesting the shape of her torso that vaguely resembles a soda bottle. It can be successfully used in landscaping projects, alone or in groups.
