Stem simple and dilated at the base. The fan leaves are large and divided into segments gray-blue in color with red veins. It is a dioecious plant, its fruits are oval shaped, with soft pulp greenish-brown color.

Underutilized species in the country, found only in botanical collections. Extremely ornamental by the color of their foliage. It can be used in pots and in parks when young, alone or in groups.
