Size ranges from 8 to 15 meters.
Cup regular and pyramidal. Its foliage is evergreen and its leaves and large simple. Flowering appears in the branches, has a dark pink and happens between spring and summer, varying by region. The fruits are edible, red, pear-shaped and feature a white pulp.
Very slow growth.
Highly ornamental species, widely used in afforestation in several cities in northern and northeastern Brazil. It can be used in projects as macropaisagismo plant alone or in small groups as well spaced.
